Registered Tangible Cultural Property
Immerse yourself in history and liberation at Kiya Ryokan
Refined beauty and a space filled with freedom.
Kiya Ryokan is a long-established inn that retains the charm of Uwajima's castle town, and is a Registered Tangible Cultural Property.
Enjoy the luxury of being left undisturbed, surrounded by thoughtful details designed to spark your curiosity throughout your stay. Limited to just one group per day, you have the entire building to yourself to enjoy with complete freedom.
A space woven with history and design.
In revitalizing Kiya Ryokan, we preserved the charm of its traditional craftsmanship while incorporating bold, new designs into the interior.
Replacing parts of the second-floor tatami with acrylic panels has transformed the room into a space where history and modern design fuse, transcending mere preservation.

Tourist information is also available at Kiya Ryokan.
As a JNTO-certified Tourist Information Center, our manager—fluent in English, German, and Polish—passionately shares the charm of Uwajima.
